Leña (which translates to firewood) makes dough from scratch and brings it to life with traditional proofing practices. Our pizza is inspired by pizzaiolos of Naples, Italy, and we strive for memorable flavor combinations that are enhanced by our wood-fired brick oven.
Fusion in the Delta
We're located in the rural Mississippi Delta, halfway between Memphis, TN and Jackson, MS. Just off the historic Highway 61 — traveled by legendary bluesmen — we provide pizza and bagels unlike anywhere else in the region.
Born and raised in Mexico, Marisol didn't work with dough until starting her bagel company in Mississippi. She also studied at the prestigious Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana in Napoli, Italy and completed a stage at Scuola di Pizzaiolo outside Naples. With more than two decades in the restaurant industry, this is Marisol's first brick and mortar. Fired by wood, her pizza and bagels are made with love.
Growing up on mostly frozen pizza, and limited cooking skills, Rory's comfort food has always been pepperoni pizza. His culinary world expanded thanks to Marisol's natural cooking abilities. Doyle is an independent photojournalist, who is likely out on assignment if he's not spinning pies in the oven.
